35 Articles of Impeachment of President George W. Bush

http://kucinich.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=93581

Bill Clinton got impeached for lying about the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal. Bush lied to the whole country and the world to justify launching a costly, poorly planned, preemptive, and ILLEGAL war. The US invaded a sovereign nation that posed no threat, in violation of domestic and international law and the UN charter. Regardless of everything else this war criminal has done, why hasn’t he been impeached yet? It’s shameful that neither Democratic leadership nor mainstream media are willing to pay more attention to this. This isn’t about politics, it’s a matter of duty to this country – Bush AND Cheney need to be held accountable for their crimes.

  1. Joe

ehh, lemme guess, i could be wrong though, you are a.. democrat? LOL, j/k… despite the fact that this war has gone on too long… I think republican can still put on a good fight for this upcoming presidential election.

  2. Yes, I’m a registered Democrat (although I’m considering changing to Independent), so one could argue bias but there’s a lot of information out there to support these articles of impeachment. I should be clear that being a Democrat does not automatically mean I support removing a Republican President from office via impeachment. Incompetence, cronyism, and Bush’s many other failings just mean he’s a bad President (many argue the worst ever). Not necessarily impeachable. BUT he has commited many impeachable offenses, some of which are considered war crimes, which anyone can research.

The fact of the matter is, Bush has abused executive power and it’s time for checks and balances to play out. A President cannot create laws but that’s essentially what he’s doing when he issues all these Executive Orders and Signing Statements. Or consider when he ignores Congressional subpeonas or uses RNC servers instead of White House servers as required by oversight laws (then deletes all emails so they can’t be investigated). There needs to be ACCOUNTABILITY. In other cases, I also blame Congress for passing laws like the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act. Drafted by the White House and passed by sheep in Congress. These need to be repealed or revised. I could go on and on. Again, the info is out there.

If McCain wins, this country deserves whatever it gets. It deserves what it’s getting now for electing Bush a second time. I’m not guaranteeing Obama will be a great President but I prefer his policies and vision to McCain. And I know Obama’s playing the same political game – it’s all about getting elected. But bottom line, I think Obama would make a much better President than McCain.

The next President will have very serious problems to deal with for sure and will probably have to make unpopular decisions. With McCain, his Presidency will just bring more of the same crap Bush has been peddling. McCain is constantly caught lying and making contradicting statements and the guy has (or had before it was exposed) campaign staff packed with lobbyists. Makes me think McCain is a slimeball.
