  • Kobe is Inhuman

I don’t understand how Kobe Bryant comes back from twisted ankles and pulls off the stuff he pulls off. Late in the regular season he twisted his ankle pretty badly, yet he came back the next game and was fine. He twists it again the other day and then pulls off a monster dunk like this:

  • Jason Terry = Loser

Mav’s resident douchebag Jason Terry blatantly shoves Steve Blake to the ground after a whistle blew and a foul was already called. Big ups to Matt Barnes for not lettings this crap go and sticking up for a teammate. Fisher might have done the same thing if he were on the floor, but probably less blatant, like a hard foul on Terry in the next play. Mavs were getting blown out and Terry was having a terrible shooting night, missing open looks. So basically they couldn’t win straight up and Terry was sucking so he decided to push a point guard. Loser! I never liked this dude, now I hate him even more. Terry was always so cocky for someone in no position to be arrogant. Then he pulls crap like this. Nice job, tough guy. Mavs can expect more beatdowns by the Lakers in the playoffs.

  • The Decision

Man, Lebron James loves himself. A big national TV event for the “King” just to announce which team he’s going to and he says the experience has been humbling. I think just the opposite. His ego is getting out of control and he hasn’t won a single championship. I feel bad for Cleveland. Too bad he didn’t come to the Knicks.

  • NBA Playoffs 2009

I’m rooting for the Bulls in this series. Last night was crazy. 3 OT’s? Joakim Noah’s fast-break dunk was badass – straight up for the slam. That’s how you do it! No sissy layups. Just put the ball in the basket. Rose had a critical block but he missed both free throws – clutch failure. If Boston had 10 seconds or a timeout, it would’ve been very dangerous. Ray Allen was on FIRE last night, damn. But let’s face it, if KG were healthy, Boston would probably have won the series in 5. But now they’re toe-to-toe with a 7th seed Eastern team. But neither team really has a chance to make it to the conference finals.

  • Kobe Bryant Better Than Michael Jordan? HELL NO!

I just saw this article on the NBC Sports website:
Better than MJ? Kobe enters the debate

I’m sorry, Kobe is a great player and I think he’s the best all-around player in the league today but he does not replace Michael Jordan as the greatest player ever. Anyone familiar with Jordan’s various accomplishments and statistics knows that Kobe does not stack up.

  • 2008 NBA Playoffs Conference Semi-Finals So Far

Just like the first round, the East still doesn’t have anything interesting. All the more entertaining games are in the West where the basketball just feels like it’s on a different level. Three of the four series going on are tied up although I wanted both the Lakers and Hornets to win their respective Game 4’s.

Dallas Mavericks v. New Orleans Hornets

Has anyone ever seen Dallas exhibit any kind of sportsmanship when losing? I certainly haven’t in the last few years and that’s why I’ve always hated the Mavericks and the people on that team. They just give off a very thuggish vibe. Most of the time they resort to something like the crap that happened last night when Jason Kidd committed a dangerous Flagrant 2 foul on Janerro Pargo of the Hornets. It was right for him to get ejected, something like that could’ve caused serious injury since Pargo got flipped and was heading down head first.

  • NBA Playoffs 2007 Update

Man, the Spurs v. Suns series is brutal! And Nash seems to be taking the brunt of it. There is definitely a lot of animosity between these two teams. For me, this series has cast a very dark shadow on the Spurs. Bowen is just despicable. What Horry did at the end of Game 4 was completely unnecessary! Now I’m rooting for the Suns to go all the way. I especially want them to win the next game. That would be the sweetest revenge but it’s going to be very difficult with both Stoudemire and Diaw out (unfair suspensions, but rules are rules). I was rooting for Golden State but yesterday’s loss was so disappointing.

  • Possible Kevin Garnett Trade

Wow, just a few days ago, I was talking to my housemate while we were watching a horrible Houston Rockets game and I said that Kevin Garnett should just slack off until the Timberwolves agree to end his contract or trade him.

    Kevin Garnett

Then KG goes on TNT and expresses discontent about the Wolves and Kevin McHale. And now there are murmurs that KG could be traded to New York or Detroit! That’s really exciting news to me. On the one hand, the Knicks SUCK (I lost faith in my home town team a long time ago with good reason) and could probably use a superstar like Garnett. But then again his talents would be wasted because the Knicks just don’t have enough to be a championship caliber team.

Now on the other hand, Detroit is an awesome team. The Pistons have been my favorite team since they whooped the Lakers 2 years ago. The Pistons are very well rounded with both strong starters and bench players. And they’ve got great defense. Detroit is very likely to make it to the finals again, if not win the championship. The rumors are that Pistons would trade Rasheed Wallace and Darko Milicic. It would be sad to see Rasheed go but he’s being replaced by the 2004-2005 league MVP with at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. Those stats speak for themselves.

If KG goes to Detroit, the Pistons would be unstoppable. Garnett perfectly complements the Pistons. It’s not like the former Lakers or today’s Miami Heat, where they have a bunch of stars that can’t play together. The Pistons don’t have to make major changes to their style of play to accommodate Garnett. But right now it’s all speculation, we’ll have to wait and see what unfolds.
