Man, Lebron James loves himself. A big national TV event for the “King” just to announce which team he’s going to and he says the experience has been humbling. I think just the opposite. His ego is getting out of control and he hasn’t won a single championship. I feel bad for Cleveland. Too bad he didn’t come to the Knicks.
But man, what a whopper. He’s going to Miami. They basically don’t have anyone else but still – the 3 most sought after free agents going to the same team. That’s just insane – Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh. I know they won’t score as much being in the same team, but their combined point average is about 85 points. Both James and Wade know how to pass the ball and both easily draw double teams. If they just get a few guys that can hit open shots, and maybe a big man, they’re good to go. Those 2 guys are explosive and they got Bosh in the paint. I don’t know, next year will be interesting. Did Miami just become the Yankees of basketball?
The Nets and Knicks are both still going to suck next year. Nets did not pick up anyone of significance. I don’t know why they thought they could with a team filled with mediocrity. Who in their right mind would pick the Nets over Chicago or Miami or even New York. Stoudemire is okay but I don’t think he’s worth that money. He’s going to be another Allan Houston or Stephon Marbury. He’s a good player but he’s not the type that can carry a team. He’s not a superstar. He’s not the type of player that will do well no matter how he’s guarded. He can totally have bad games where he scores 5 points. That just doesn’t happen with players like Wade and James. And he’s injury-prone.
Who’s left to pick up for New York? All this talk about clearing cap space and what happened? Nothing really. At least nothing significant enough to really upgrade this team. And Nets picked up nobody. Forget moving to NY, just merge the teams and get rid of the worse parts. Does New York really need another crappy basketball team?
