  • It Ain’t Over Yet

    Most polls and electoral map predictions so far put Obama in a very good position with 9 days to go until the election. But it ain’t over until the fat lady sings. Polls are all well and good but the biggest thing I fear is voter fraud and those damn electronic voting machines. I really don’t know what I’ll do if McCain wins or worse, the election is stolen. I do find it very inspiring seeing images of Obama hold rallies with more than 100,000 people in attendance (Missouri and Colorado, both battleground or red states). Can McCain create that kind of enthusiasm?

  • Do People Even Realize…

    That George W. Bush is one of the worst Presidents we’ve had in history (if not the worse)? In his 8-year tenure, he has utterly failed in every respect. This country is so much worse than it was 8 years ago that’s it’s really just downright sad. People can do their own research but let me just mention some brief highlights:

  • Bridge to Nowhere

    I was watching the Vice Presidential debates tonight and wanted to mention a certain moment early in the debate. Biden was responding to Palin about healthcare and he blasted McCain’s plan for a $5,000 healthcare credit (that replaces an employer-paid $12,000 policy) and stomped it down as a “true bridge to nowhere”. Did you guys catch that? Even the live audience reacted to it. Man, I laughed out loud at a political debate for the first time ever. Wow, Biden freaking owned her with that. BOOM. Debate over.

    This is one of the most important elections of our time and I encourage everyone to get out there and vote. My views are pretty clear on this blog but whatever your views are, you should vote. Register now if you’re not registered. Make sure your address is updated with your state and you know your polling place. You’ve probably noticed the “Rock the Vote” link on the left. This convenient form allows you to register to vote in your state – it’s powered by Rockthevote.org so absolutely no data gets passed through my website (so don’t worry about that).

  • Presenting… Sarah Palin

    These videos speak for themselves. You should be terrified by the idea that if McCain is elected, Palin could very well become President of the United States. She is completely unqualified and the McCain campaign has hid her from the press precisely because she’s unintelligible. By the way, Palin’s favorability numbers are going down the drain now that more people realize the truth. McCain’s poll numbers have been sliding as well.

  • McCain and Palin are Just Talking Points (and Liars)

    It’s pretty ridiculous. All they do is spew rehearsed and preplanned talking points. And they lie. They lie like crazy about everything – their own records, Obama, everything. Every interview I’ve seen where the reporter challenged McCain or Palin, they start stuttering, stonewalling, they lie, or end up repeating the same talking points even if it doesn’t answer the question. When they hit something they haven’t rehearsed before, it’s like they don’t know what to do, because no one told them what to say in those situations.

    When you can’t articulate your own views and have to memorize things you’re told to say by political strategists, you’re not competent enough to be President or Vice President. I know Obama does the same thing, all politicians do, but at least when he’s thrown a curve ball, he answers with clarity and specifically addresses the actual question. That, to me, signifies a much greater level of intelligence, competence, and initiative.
