Knicks to Let Lin Leave?

Well, it sucks, but if Lin leaves, Knicks are back to “I don’t care” mode for me. I never really liked the make-up of that team and the fact that with their expensive roster, they were still playing like crap, just made it easier to not care. It was only the emergence of Jeremy Lin that got me back into the Knicks. I am a Lin fan first and foremost before I am a Knick fan. I don’t even care what hardcore Knicks fans might think about that. It’s just how it is.

I understand Houston is making it real tough with their offer, but oh well, it is what it is. You know what though, the Knicks will never win with Dolan making decisions. The organization will make money, but they won’t win championships.

All indications now are that the Knicks are letting Lin leave. I may just have to get NBA League Pass next year to catch Rocket games.

I hope Lin gets better and better. If the Knicks don’t keep him, I hope they end up regretting it.

P.S. And this is why I didn’t rush out to buy a Lin jersey or other merchandise. All those people with a Lin #17 Knicks jersey are sour right about now. But hey, it ain’t over until the fat lady sings (that would be midnight Tuesday), there’s still a slim chance Knicks will match.

P.P.S. While I’d love for Lin to stay with my hometown Knicks, I wonder if he’ll be better off in Houston. Lin thrived with the ball in his hands, with Stoudemire and Anthony out. Perhaps he can replicate Linsanity down in Houston. And who knows, Houston might get Dwight Howard.
