  • Heroes Getting Boring?

    Is is just me or is Heroes getting a little dull? Maybe it’s the commercials that are bugging me because I hate waiting through commercials. With all the new characters, each episode jumps all over the place and it feels really disjointed. I understand they’re trying to advance the story of each character in parallel but it doesn’t work. Even though it’s all over the place, oddly it still feels like the overall plot is moving pretty slow.

  • This is an Aside

    I’ve created a new category called Asides which is for random thoughts or other things that I feel like mentioning that’ll usually be very short and not worth an entire blog post about. This is the first aside and an example.

  • ViaTalk is Okay, Not That Good

    So a couple months ago, I switched my phone service to ViaTalk from SunRocket. ViaTalk so far has worked okay but their customer support is exceedingly poor. It’s my understanding that they received a huge influx of customers fleeing SunRocket which overloaded their support staff. But even now, support response times take weeks and months. I’m not kidding. I’m a light support user generally, but they took forever answering my support tickets, which were not complicated issues at all.

  • New PC Build

    So I received all the parts for my new PC about a week ago but I didn’t have to time to put it all together. Today I went apple picking, but then I literally spent the entire evening lapping my heatsink (Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme). Not the best way to spend my Saturday night but I’ll only have the free time to build my PC on weekends and I HAVE to put it together now to make sure everything’s working and that I don’t need to return anything. Then I can send in the UPC labels for rebates.

  • Facebook Valued At $10 Billion?!

    So apparently Microsoft is in talks with Facebook to possibly buy a 5% stake in Facebook that would value the company at $10 billion. Read that again – yes, $10 billion. Google has expressed interest as well. Give me a break. Bubble bobble..

  • Car in the Shop, AIG Sucks

    Okay so like the title says my car is currently in a body shop getting fixed up. I had an accident 3 months ago which was completely not my fault. I was coming out of an exit ramp and slowing down before merging onto the service road, when all of a sudden I got rear-ended. The car behind me obviously hit me and a third car hit the second car. Both were women. To quote the comedian Russell Peters – “I don’t create stereotypes, I just see them.” The ordeal begins…

  • US Open 2007 is Entertaining

    More people ought to follow tennis. This year’s US Open has been pretty enjoyable so far. Federer continues his flawless and completely dominant play as usual. That guy is so fun to watch. I don’t know how anyone can challenge him. Tonight’s match of Federer v. Roddick is definitely an exciting match. Their head to head record is 13-1 (Federer) but you never know with these things. Hopefully Roddick puts up a good fight and we have a competitive match.

  • Congress, Democrats = Useless

    Can the Democrats stop being such wussies and actually get something done? They need to stop issuing subpoenas that get ignored or threatening contempt charges and instead actually take action! When is anyone going to take this administration to task and impeach Bush and Co. for their numerous crimes and transgressions? Democrats like to talk the talk but then they go and expand Bush’s illegal surveillance power. Pelosi is a god damn joke. Impeachment is off the table? What the hell is wrong with you woman? Great way to show everyone you’re really in the administration’s pocket, you sock puppet.
