Body Weight
I was cleaning up my blog a bit and reading some old posts and I realized that at one point back in college I weighed 185 pounds! That’s a full 30 lbs more than I weigh now. I don’t know, I just thought that was surprising - 30 lbs is a big difference. About 2-3 months ago I dropped to 150 lbs but now I’m up to 155 lbs. Almost everyone I know from 5-6 years ago has gained weight noticeably over the years. I’m actually one of the few people that weighs about the same as I did then. People I haven’t seen since then always comment on how I look practically the same.
Bad Low Carb Food
What’s up with this stupid low carb craze? My biology professor said fad diets are never good - most of them are not even healthy. The Atkins diet actually isn’t good. And this is true with all fad diets: once you stop, you regain the weight you lost very fast.
Fitness
I’m finally getting into personal fitness after years of saying I would but doing nothing. I’m actually keeping one of my New Year’s resolutions! Ever since high school, I’ve never really committed myself to working out. I had a fitness class for phys ed in high school and that’s when I first started lifting weights on a regular basis. During senior year I actually bulked up a little bit. I got rid of a lot of flab and pumped up my chest a little bit.
