My Next Vacation Spot

My Spring Break 2006 Post

It’s a pretty quiet spring break this year. This time I just wanted to stay home, relax, and catch up on sleep. I also wanted to use the time to do some business related research. I don’t know why but at school there just seems to be so many distractions and interruptions. You try to set aside time for things but everything is so discontinuous.

Spring Break 05

Spring break was a great week
I had a lot of fun and it really cleared my head. It feels great when all you have to worry about is how to get somewhere or whether your parking meter is filled. My friends and I spent 4 days in South Beach Miami and 4 days in Daytona Beach. I liked South Beach much better - women were hotter, beaches were nicer, and the weather was better. Definitely enjoyed a lot of good food. Had a lot of Heinekens and Kahlua Mudslides. Those mudslides are freakin awesome - they taste like spiked Starbucks Vanilla Frappacinos! I wonder if I can get my hands on them in Ithaca. Not only that we flew first class, so that was really nice. By the way, what they call “snack service” is nearly a meal and you can have all the free drinks you want.

Upcoming Spring Break and Other Ponderings

Well, it’s exactly 2 weeks until my friends and I take off for Spring Break. It’s officially set, we will be spending 4 days in South Beach Miami and then 4 days in Daytona Beach. The total cost of the trip was a deal too because my friend Tom hooked us all up with FREE round trip plane tickets! His dad had a lot of frequent flyer miles and was gracious enough to use them for our Spring Break trip. Awesome? YES. I have 3 midterms between now and Spring Break and a few homework assignments. Needless to say I really can’t wait for Spring Break. My fortune cookie tonight said “You will have a pleasant trip.” I hope that’s right!

For Fall Break this year, a couple buddies and I road-tripped up to Toronto, Canada and spent a couple days up there. We all had a lot of fun!

Here’s a recap:

Waiting for Fall Break

I am so tired. I had one prelim today and I have two tomorrow. I didn’t do so well on the 2 prelims I’ve already had. But it was like my way of “testing the waters” with the professors. Now I can adapt to their testing styles and hopefully do much better later on.

Fall Break starts this Saturday. A few buddies and I are going to Niagara Falls and Toronto; it’ll be my first time in Canada. Just us guys, no girlfriends are coming. Actually it’ll be my first time in a foreign country that isn’t Taiwan. And Canada isn’t even really a foreign country. The last time I was at Niagara Falls was when I was 5 yrs. old and I don’t remember a thing. It should be a good trip. Can’t wait.

P.S. Kerry won that debate. He was clear and confident, while Bush got noticeably uncomfortable and defensive. He also kept repeating the same things over and over and not really addressing the issue at hand. Many times he would be at a lost for words - those long pauses and uhhhhm’s were hilarious.
