I said..."yeah right...crisis in greece and I won...whatever". Three days later my mother got the same later. Apart from the amount, the letter had exactly the same ticket number & the same lucky number & exactly the same serial number!! So...big scam!! I know I didn't post more about it about at the time I was just absolutely shocked by some of the imagery and videos I was seeing of the tsunami. For about a month and a half, the internet has constantly gone down and when it's up, the connection is usually poor. My neighbor, who has Verizon FiOS, suggests we switch to FiOS since she has not had any problems but why on earth would someone switch from DSL to FiOS from the same company when the company is clearly doing absolutely nothing to fix our DSL problem? I am beginning to think Verizon neglects DSL to encourage customers to switch over to FiOS. Yet another complaint (haha). I actually lost my job due to Verizon. My husband and I moved to our own place and he had Verizon just a few months before with no problems. OK. so we call and get verizon at our new place. They said we can use the same modem and router. OK. so we plug it it. nothing. wecall them...and thy said it will take 3 weeks to get the lines up and running. Frustration level rising. OK. 3 weeks come and nothing again. Not OK. They ASSUME its our modem. We now have to wait 3 more days for a new modem. I work online and its our only income right now so myboss is peeved. Modem comes. still no internet. guess what? it wasnt the modem. it was the lines like i said....I told them the phone lines were just hanging on the side of the house hooked to nothing. But what do i know? It couldnt be the lines. they must have some newfangled invisible lines i could not see. Have to wait another week. Tech finally comes out and tells us its the lines. I seriously cried and almost drove my car to the verizon place to raise heck but lucky for verizon my husband stopped me.the tech comes but instead of hooking up both wires outside he only hooks up1. Net running CRAZY slow and keeps disconnecting. Finally 1 more week passes with me yelling and screaming and telling them where they can stick their modem because i now got fired......Finally just today a tech came to finish everything. I am usually a very calm person but i am now on xanax and my 4 year old has learned a new vocabulary. After calling them, in August, we FINALLY have internet since TODAY.
