Use Your Period For Good
I was looking at movie trailers late last night over at Yahoo Movies and an advertisement came on for tampons and the ending tagline was just so damn ridiculous (and funny). Basically the commercial was saying many girls in Africa miss school during their period because they don’t have protection. Then it said whenever you buy Tampax, they’ll donate tampons to African girls or something like that.
The commercial ends with a woman saying, in an uplifting tone:
My Brothers
I was looking at some old pictures and I found this image of my brothers. If I remember correctly, this was back in the summer of 2003. I was up in Ithaca attending summer classes at Cornell. It sure made life easier sharing the workload between the three of us. Identical triplets really come in handy.
Miss Teen South Carolina is Smart
Wow. This chick just sounds intelligent. And articulate. Check the video after the jump.

Talking to Americans
This is hilarious. Granted, they’re probably only showing the responses they wanted to get but it’s still amazing what Americans will say about things they know nothing about, no matter how ridiculous it sounds.
From the satirical Canadian TV special “Talking to Americans” hosted by Rick Mercer of This Hour Has 22 Minutes fame. Talking to Americans reveals how little Americans know about Canada and the rest of the world by asking regular Americans, university students, professors, celebrities, and even famous politicians questions about their neighbours to the north.
In Part 1, Rick visits New York City, Little Rock Arkansas, Mt. Rushmore, and Columbia University.
Mentos and Diet Coke
You’ve all seen the reaction when Mentos are added to Diet Coke. If not here it is:
I went to Costco yesterday and I bought a case of Coke and box of Mentos. Not to do this experiment but just to consume them. Oddly all the videos out there only use Diet Coke so I guess regular Coke is okay. But I’m still not eating them together, lest my stomach explode.
Aside: The trick is amusing but the kids that filmed this seemed a little too excited about a flying coke bottle.
The Science of Hell
I got this from an acquaintance who posted it on Xanga and I thought it was really amusing/funny. So here, sharing is caring:
The Science of Hell
The following is supposedly an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so “profound” that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well.
Overheard in New York
This site is absolutely hilarious:
http://www.overheardinnewyork.com
It’s a bunch of quotes overheard by people in New York City submitted to the website. Seriously, I almost let go a mouthful of water.
Transporter 2
Some of you may remember that little movie called The Transporter, featuring me in the lead role before being cut in the 11th hour and being replaced by Jason Statham. They attributed this decision to my over-zealous female fan base and wanted to target young males with the movie’s action scenes. Here was the original poster for the movie:
