Visionary Working Style

We will be talking about, and to confident Visionarys. There is a great difference in how confident and unconfident Visionarys work. Unconfident Visionarys work exactly like confident Idealists. They take jobs and probably do exceedingly well. Work is the favourite realm of functioning for Visionarys and Idealists. Knowing what they were born to do and pursuing it, is when Visionarys become. They were shouldered the responsibility for making a dent and a difference, in the lives of others, and world, because they can, when they work true to self.

Born to do, and lead the way for others

Blazing intellect and impassioned determination are their vehicles to fortune and fame. Historically, the wealthiest and most powerful personality style on the planet, Visionarys are seemingly born card carrying members of the workaholics club. Yet, even among that select group, theirs is often the most serious affliction. These individuals love work and they immerse themselves wholly in all undertakings. They are the big picture visionaries whose eyes are so firmly focused on future they hardly notice today’s mud at their feet. Brainstorming and think tanks are typical workplace innovations of theirs, and reflective of their intellectual curiosity and people propensity.

Creativity seldom rests

These individuals are intuitive-intellects, a fact that adds an interesting blip to their complexity and boosts their advantage. Plugging a problem into their intuitive dimension, Visionarys trust that resolution will brew and perk untended, while they function unperturbed externally. Intuitive-intellect means their approach to all and life is different. Visionarys don’t care about colouring inside logic-lines and don’t worry about straying beyond the defines of reason. Their most trusted guide is intuition (emotions), their guide for problem-solving, decision-making, and personal relations. In the same time that intellectual sizzlers find solution from step 1 through 10, Visionarys have potential to travel 1 to 40 and not only find solution, but return with plans, strategies, and schedules fleshed in feasibility. Details take care of themselves, when sight locks on the whole of even the most illogical dreams. Few are as preternaturally gifted to author new realities as Visionarys.

Likely, the concept of teamwork was first practiced by them. Not only do they love people, they have a knack for unearthing and encouraging the best in each to bloom. But the reason may be less magnanimous than practical, for they’re lazy in the most productive sense. Creativity and leadership are their strengths. They conceive the ideas, formulate the strategies and administer progress, but they need capable others to process details and help turn concept into reality.

Two Visionary interpersonal characteristics are: curiosity and intuitiveness. Their curiosity is near-insatiable. Everything fascinates and little escapes their probe and scrutiny. In terms of intuitiveness, Visionarys never leave home without it. These are the ones who attend or chair meetings and by intuiting mood and mindset of participants, know when to hold and when to play their cards. They feel in advance, whether successful conclusions can or will be had and focus on removing doubts before they become obstacles. Whether sports, strategy, senate, or sales, Visionarys have an uncanny ability to anticipate the mood of others and determine the degree of cooperation or opposition in person or room. Overcoming adversity and opposition are specialties of theirs. They see 360-degrees of possibility for everything, but only one way to evoke change: emotionally. Logic can sell the explainable. Only emotions can sell the inexplicable - what Visionarys tend to offer.

When it comes to taking chances, Visionarys lead the world. But then, they do have that ace up their sleeve: intuition. Others may consider them extraordinarily bold risk-takers. Their own opinion differs somewhat. When emotion gives the nod, Visionarys see it as considerably riskier to ignore their truth in favour of logic…and less rewarding. Logic can exist without intuition, but intuition always and already contains the full score and measure of logic. Logic is not diminished or erased by intuition. It’s enhanced exponentially.

Visionarys are most capable negotiators. Under pressure, when flames grow hotter and odds rise against, the calmer and more creative they tend to become. As Eccentriks mentally spin and alter three-dimensional reality, Visionarys spin perspectives with roulette-wheel ease. There are no one-way solutions for them, but infinite possibilities from which to choose best. Creativity-on-tap is the advantage intuitives have over logicals. One ranges 360-degrees; the other follows straight and narrow.

They are characteristically direct and forthright, which can be comforting for some but unsettling for many. One objective is uppermost in all their personal and professional dealings: understanding. Visionarys must feel and accept the rightness of situations, before deciding or acting - and must feel the truth of others, before doing either. When there is a conflict between their internal reading and external reality, Visionarys side with emotions, always. After that, it is a matter of confirming their intuited impressions through verbal investigation - or interrogation, as it may seem to others. They place the onus on others to prove them wrong rather than doubt self first.

Visionarys can be outstanding public performers and electric speakers. They fathom audience personality with their emotional antenna and adjust tone, tempo, and rhythm accordingly; maximizing both effectiveness and efficiency. They have skill and intellect sufficient for mass manipulation, but Visionarys sheath deed in honour - ever cognizant of their birth covenant to serve the greater good.

Large egos needed

Their life purpose dictates they overcome and prevail, despite opposition. Visionarys do not have the luxury of time. They’re here now to make a betterment difference. It is not enough for them to envision alternate realities, not enough to theorize and ponder abstractly - they must think, express, and do. That means their egos must be strong enough to break with old rules; ignore ostracism to outrage, and ride roughshod over the naysayers and bottom-lines that get in their way. Whether in business, politics, arts, or academia, Visionarys often butt heads with status quo. Intuitives, like them, frequently experience frustration in a logic-run and ruled world. Logicals tend to view their visions as distortions of normal and Visionarys as peddlers of snake oil.

The indomitable ones

These are the unsinkable human corks, who bob no matter how swift or deep the negativity or how strong the current against them. They’re the ones whose crowns are removed by ignorance and who suffer public humiliation, but soon earn a standing ovation for outstanding achievement, anyway. Even if no other can or will, Visionarys have faith in themselves and keep going. They do strive for approval and do thrive on applause and recognition, but they can and do go without, if they meet neither friend nor supporter on their self-chosen path to fulfillment. Visionarys get there anyway.

These individuals are generous in dispensing appreciation and credit to others, though their own name may be slightly larger and more boldly displayed on marquee. Being extremely competitive, they tend to shine brighter, the greater the challenge. Pressure hones their skill and heightens enjoyment. When they throw their hat into the ring of office politics, Visionarys seek creative freedom opportuned by position, more than titled prestige. They usually avoid corporate power games aimed at squelching or killing the competition. They get more creative, the greater the challenge or opposition. They earn industry respect through innovation and timing, rather than by shark and vulture tactics. It is a rare Visionary who does not aspire to having their life achievements etched on headstone or scratched into history. Consequently, they conduct their living so that dignity and honour surround their name. Being swayed by insincere stroking or being manipulated by others is not only unlikely, it’s unVisionary. For them, dishonesty and deception ring Big Ben loud and sound a death knell on trust relations.

To live, as in George Orwell’s novel, 1984, is an ultimate nightmare. They respect hierarchical structure, order of command, and though impatiently, due process. But they’ve little respect or tolerance for clone-propensities, prescribed protocol, or stone-tablet procedures. Not line-dancers, Visionarys refuse stepping in tune or time with any line, unless they agree in whole and principle. Neither non-conformist nor rebel per se, they are strongly individual. They have a keen sense of propriety and are innately sociable, and can handshake and schmooze with the best of them. However, they are scathingly intolerant of Pavlov dogs, should such canine inclinations be found manifest in corporation or corpuscle.

If management expects to hear an echo of their own opinion, avoid Visionarys. They echo no other. Visionarys only become, after having successfully conquered self-doubt; usually in adulthood. From that point on, they cannot be persuaded to adopt any opinion that contradicts their own - nor will they likely participate in any endeavour they do not intuitively embrace and endorse. Visionarys do not engineer bombs, sell armaments, or chop rain forests. Their visionary gift and life purpose is to architect improvement for others, not profit through demise. Their standards exceed laws of land and man. Visionarys are intuitives, therefore, their ethics are cellularly guided and governed. Their responsibility is to do something significant in their lifetime. When the world is bettered by invention, innovation, entertainment, or leadership guide, in those human-bettered vapours is proof of Veni, Vedi, Vici…Visionary has been, seen and conquered.

As leaders, they have no equal. As managers, only confident Idealists match their exceptionality. Regardless of what role they play in their big or small world or hat they wear - CEO, student, performing artist, or punch card 508 - Visionary workers perform much the same.

At work

They’re fussiness and conscientiousness incorporated. Efficient, demanding, bossy, hardworking, curious, witty, glib, and generally, they’re on this side of nice. They learn fast and in most that they do, they do noticeably and comparatively well. They’re curious about all facets of the business and the reach of operations, and take a keen interest in co-workers. They quickly establish friendships and even quicker, earn respect. They keep their professional life separate from personal and tend not to socialize outside the workplace. They’re generous with ideas and direct in word and action-not rude, just real. They work tirelessly and have usually devised a system for doing, that only someone who loves what they do and wants to do more would come up with. They tend to get paid more but even co-workers agree…they earn it. Despite the fact that Visionarys are renown for changing jobs and careers often, they don’t have trouble getting favourable references from former employers or securing positions elsewhere. The ones least likely to be fired or earn retirement watches are Visionarys. That’s the general skinny on Visionary employees. Management would be wise to recognize Visionarys currently on staff. They’re born to lead, not follow.

Leadership, their most natural role

There’s no such thing as disorganization, shoddy workmanship, or close-supervision with Visionary leaders. They delegate well and handle problems of project, personnel, and process efficiently. They tend to be charismatic and often have a good rapport at all levels of interaction, from co-worker, to management, to industry. They are known to be tough…meaning inflexible about poor job performance. They can handle a variety of tasks simultaneously without losing track, losing their temper, or buckling under stress. The most noticeable differences between these leaders and others is that Visionarys encourage, even insist their staff explore better ways to increase productivity, as well as ways to increase pleasures of working. Whether that entails in-house day care facilities, flex-hours, music, exercise facilities, or catering services…if it improves productivity, profitability, and results in an environment where workers are happier, it’ll most likely be instituted by them. They are the original workaholics and are very conscious of feeling at home at work.

Regardless of field or job, whether the opportunity be business, art, or science, Visionarys can go anywhere and experience success….if they love what they do. They often form a tight team or network of associates they can trust to get things done their way, meaning flawlessly and promptly. The team qualifiers are: personal ambition, taking direction well, and meeting objectives independently. Visionarys are not baby sitters. They resent being distracted from their own work by details that should have been discussed upfront, by problems that should have been addressed upon arrival, or by those who cannot deliver as promised. Incompetence, dishonesty, apathy, or any combination thereof, are cause for dismissal from Visionary-led teams.

They are very good teachers. Thorough and comfortable with authority and responsibility, they use wit and allegory to bring their points home. But don’t fall asleep in their class. Not only do Visionarys work toward and expect full comprehension by lessons end, they tend to measure their own ability by student performance. Pupils don’t fail the course; Visionary teachers do.

If generous in commending and rewarding when pleased, they’re equally contrary when not. These individuals are hard-driving perfectionists, who expect excellence and superior performance from self and others. Details may not be their cup of tea, but when the proverbial hits the fan, Visionarys handle adversity with aplomb. When trouble visits, they tend toward clear-thinking serene rather than whose-to-blame mean. They are unlikely to wear themselves out by jumping to conclusions when things go wrong. They think fast and best under pressure. They are, however, uncompromising sticklers when it comes to accountability. If your work partner, associate, or boss is Visionary, apprise them of problems quickly. Otherwise, expect brusque and blunt should time be wasted or responsibility off-loaded.

What makes Visionary leaders so highly respected and admired, is their manner of separating issue from person. Generally, they don’t browbeat another for making mistakes. They address the process, the lack of knowledge, or the inattention that caused it. Others may feel as though hit by a sledge-hammer when they meet the vent of their frustration (Visionarys undress like no other), but it’s issue that fists are applied to, not flesh. Anyway, such heavy-handedness would be counter-productive. They find and encourage the best in others, if for no reason other than it benefits them short and long-term. When others are confident and competent, Visionarys are closer to getting what they want done without need of worry or their direct involvement. These impatientOnes resent having to tell others where and how to place their feet, and would sooner end the relationship than assume the responsibility of having to do so.

They like competition and relish the challenge of testing themselves against a worthy opponent. If bested, they tend to be more impressed than displeased. Of course, they don’t lose often. Intuitive-intellects make for stiff competition. Victors should prepare to meet an ultra-competitive and creative blitzkrieg from them, next time around. Unscrupulous they are not. If crossed or betrayed they are tempest in teapot, and usually sever relations forever.

That which pushes them to excel and experience as much as possible is reason-rooted in birth covenant. Whether Visionarys are consciously aware of their evolutionary responsibility or not, seems to have little bearing on performance or unfolding of being. Most change careers often; excel in most all they try; exhibit extraordinary creativity in problem-solving; exude high energy; emanate self-confidence; interact easily with others; and communicate exceptionally well. Born to orate and elucidate, as if fashioned from same leader mold, Visionarys change worlds, change hearts, and change minds with words.

The anti-establishment movement of the 60s swarmed and seethed with Visionary influence and focused outrage. They removed the concept of blind obeisance, redefined conscientious-objector, exposed corruption in government and challenged political and justice systems alike. They then donned suits, ties, and running shoes, rolled up their sleeves and revolutionized human rights, legal rights, environmental husbandry, arts, humanities, scientific innovation, medical invention, and ultimately spawned the Information Age. Conscious-awareness and intuitive-intelligence are but beak and wing of this bird.

Responsibility is genetically woven into their makeup. When they say they can - they do. But remember, for these individuals their first priority is finding and fulfilling their own life purpose. They have something significant to personally do. Until they find their own niche, they harvest from a wide swath of experiences. Immersing themselves fully in numerous fields and opportunities, they seek alignment of external deed with internal need. If not intuitively right, regardless of success, regardless of consequence or plea, Visionarys move on and resume niche-hunting again. These gifted and charismatic individuals tend not to captain other people’s ships long. Most pursue entrepreneurship, where they have the creative and risk-taking freedom they need, to build the visions that burn within; those that may not be realized in a logic run workplace.

Whether client, corporation, community, or country is in need of the most creative solution or far-sighted plan, the first and best choice is Visionary. None are as preternaturally advantaged and personally motivated to author new realities as these intuitive leaders.
