  • Grooveshark Music Streaming

I discovered Grooveshark only last week and I’m loving the service. The interface is easy to use, full-screen, and very responsive. It’s easy to find music and their library is huge. The sound quality is also pretty good. Not as good as high bitrate MP3 but hey it’s good enough. These days I’m pretty lazy when it comes to manually building up my library. I can simply use their “Popular” playlists to find new songs I might like. They even have a “Radio” feature that tries to add songs you might like based on the current songs you have playing. I was even able to find some Korean songs, so their library seems pretty comprehensive.

  • How a Web Design Goes Straight to Hell

I just had to post this:

How a Web Design Goes Straight to Hell

Only web designers/developers can relate. A client recently told me a design needed more “pop” just like in the comic. Sigh..

  • The 11/3 Project

Jon Stewart’s hilarious impression of that loony Glenn Beck on The Daily Show. Do not have food or water in your mouth at 3:17 in the video!

  • Godzilla Destroys Philadelphia

Awesome – Matsui batted in 6 runs and the Yanks win their 27th World Series crown! WOOOOO!

  • Faith in the Yankees

How many come-back, late-innings wins have we had this year? It was disappointing to see Joba give up the tying homer but during the 9th I kept saying Yankees are going to score and Rivera will close it out.. even at 2 outs. Granted, I kept saying “here comes the double!” when Matsui and Jeter were up too. The base stealing by Damon was pretty awesome. And what a postseason for Arod, who keeps coming through in the clutch. Rivera is just a stone-cold killer. What was that, 3 outs in like 6 pitches? Last night was 2 outs in 5 pitches.

  • I Don’t Facebook

I don’t spend much time on Facebook or any other social networking sites at all. Frankly, I’m not comfortable with the idea of sharing so much private information (sometimes with people I’m only acquainted with). That’s why my wall is off – it can take a like a month before I see a message and apparently taking a month to respond is bad Facebook etiquette. That’s also why I post nearly nothing about my personal life here at all anymore. Heck, this site has almost turned into a tennis blog.

As for other sites like LinkedIn, frankly I’m just too lazy to sign up for something I’m probably not going to use very often. The reason I even have a Facebook account is that I was one of the early adopters of Facebook back when it was only available at Ivy  League schools. I figure it doesn’t hurt to keep an account. Call me old-fashioned, but if you know me well enough, you should have my phone number and email so there you go!

To quote E from Entourage – the reason I don’t Facebook – is because “I’m an adult.”

  • Basic Steps to Secure Your Computer

As someone who generally knows his way around a computer, I often get asked for help with computer problems. Let me just go over some basic things that will protect most people from the vast majority of threats to your PC’s security. It’s actually kind of simple, but I think a lot of people are just too LAZY. If you want to use a computer, this comes with the territory – don’t be ignorant.

  • Democrats Are Useless

Why capitulate to Republicans when you don’t have to? Can the party grow a spine? If Republicans won’t be part of the solution, then just roll over them!
