Apparently Wishing Does Work

But be careful what you wish for. Two posts ago ago I was just talking about not getting enough new work and things slowing down in July. Well it seems in the past week, I’ve picked up 4 times more work than the entire month of June. I’ve started a long-term subcontracting relationship with a larger, corporate web development firm. My original plan didn’t really include all this freelance work but the money I bring in with this I can really use for other business development, so it’s good. Not to mention basic things like living expenses.

I’m actually swamped with work right now. I didn’t think this would happen - I’m actually juggling 4 different projects currently. Actually right this moment, I’m going back and forth with 2 clients over MSN messenger. Earlier my DSL died again for 5-10 minutes and I was about to smash my table in half.

I ordered me one of those littly squishy stress balls. There used to be this heart shaped one lying around at home. I remember last summer when I was doing research and writing up my business plan, I’d get up every once in awhile, squeeze the stress ball and throw it around. It really helped me relax and clear my head. It got accidentally thrown out, so I ordered another stress ball. I’m going to be squeezing the crap out of this one.
