The Detroit Pistons Rippin It Up
Well the NBA season has started and I’d like to discuss the double header on TNT tonight.
I just noticed the title of this post sort of has a pun - you know.. Rip Hamilton.. ripping it up.. ok, whatever. Well the Detroit Pistons beat the Phoenix Suns tonight 111-104. Man, that score doesn’t even look like a Pistons game, especially since they have the best defense in the NBA (screw the Spurs). The Pistons are still my favorite team since they whooped the Lakers. And they’re undefeated thus far. Good things, good things. Flip Saunders is doing a great job, I think he can take the Pistons to another level. I’m glad there were no big shakeups in their lineup. Don’t fix what’s not broken. The Pistons have something great and I’m glad they’ve improved even more.
The other team I usually like to root for is the Rockets because of Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady but oh man does that team suck! McGrady is injured and it seems no one on the team except Yao can do ANYTHING related to basketball with any competence. That team is just horrible. Horrible. Even if McGrady were healthy, he’d have to score like 50 along with Yao’s 30, which still leaves about 15-25 points for the rest of the Rockets which really isn’t going to happen. Because evidently many of them throw up bricks and lose control of the ball when they’re not even being defended.

Hey, do you think the Pistons can win 70 games this season?
If so, should they try to win 70 games?
