My Eclectic Schedule for Fall 2005
I’ve pretty much covered all of my AEM requirement and now I’m just filling up on credits for electives and other more minor requirements. Aside from the first 3 courses, everything is either a 1 credit or 2 credit course. This semester I’m taking:
AEM 419 - Strategic Thinking
This course mainly deals with game theory and competitive strategy. It fulfills a requirement but I find strategy topics interesting.
AEM 424 - Management Strategy
Capstone course for seniors covering several business topics. Required course to graduate from AEM.
HD 220 - The Human Brain and Mind
Studies the biology of the human brain and mental processes. So far this has been an incredibly boring class but it’s the only “easy” course in its time slot and I need credits. The upside is that the girl to guy ratio is 15:1.
EAS 109 - Dinosaurs
Introductory course on dinosaurs! Should be fun course.
FD SC 101 - Introduction to Food Science
Course on basic food science concepts. We get to make our own ice cream at the end of the year.
H ADM 120 - Personal Financial Management
Course on managing personal expenses, investments, etc. I should be able to gain some practical knowledge from this course.
The semester should be relatively light, giving me time to focus on my fledgling business. The main course load will probably be in AEM 419, 424, and HD 220. Additionally, I have no class on Fridays and my earliest class all week is 11:40 pm. A few days I finish a bit later in the day, but I’ve never been a morning person so it should be fine.
