Detroit Pistons Can Still Win

6/24/05 EDIT: Well, the Pistons lost. They had a good chance though. Hamilton just wasn’t hitting the shots. Rasheed got into foul trouble. And I don’t even want to start with Lindey Hunter. He needs to get traded or waived IMMEDIATELY. They broke apart after their 9-0 run. Sigh.. pretty entertaining finals though.

I HATE Robert Horry. This guy single handedly beat the Pistons in Game 5. The first 3 quarters didn’t even matter. This guy went on a tear. MAN I hate that guy.

And then, that last Spurs possession. WHY did they leave a such a clutch shooter WIDE OPEN in that situation? Why? Why did they double Ginobili? Tayshaun Prince was on him pretty tight, there’s no way he would’ve made an easy shot. But no, Rasheed had to go over there.

ALSO - why didn’t the Pistons immediately foul? They were up by two. Foul them, make them put up 2. If they made one, you’re up so just wind the clock down or let Billups take foul shots on Spurs fouls. If they make both, so what, you still have the ball with 8 seconds left to make a shot - plenty of time. And if you miss, you likely go into overtime. But to give the Spurs such an opportunity is just.. stupid.

I am still rooting for the Pistons. Start of the series I said Pistons in 7. Watch. Pistons play best when backed into a corner. PISTONS IN 7!
