Spring Break 05

Spring break was a great week
I had a lot of fun and it really cleared my head. It feels great when all you have to worry about is how to get somewhere or whether your parking meter is filled. My friends and I spent 4 days in South Beach Miami and 4 days in Daytona Beach. I liked South Beach much better - women were hotter, beaches were nicer, and the weather was better. Definitely enjoyed a lot of good food. Had a lot of Heinekens and Kahlua Mudslides. Those mudslides are freakin awesome - they taste like spiked Starbucks Vanilla Frappacinos! I wonder if I can get my hands on them in Ithaca. Not only that we flew first class, so that was really nice. By the way, what they call “snack service” is nearly a meal and you can have all the free drinks you want.

I got an overall tan and a mild sunburn on my back in the exact areas I didn’t put sunblock on. So I guess the stuff actually works. South Beach is definitely the place to go for Spring break. The beaches are beautiful. The sand is clean, the water is clear blue and aqua. Plus there are a LOT of beautiful women on the beach, quite a few of them walking or sunbathing topless. Daytona had a lot of what looked liked high schoolers. I think they were locals or something trying to party with the college spring break crowd. The beach sucks, the sand is crap. The weather was bad too. All the night action is at Seabreaze Blvd. On the last day we decided to go to Universal in Orlando because the weather sucked. We got to go on most of the notable rides - but there was a bunch of t-storms. That night we drove all the way back to Miami, returned the rental, checked in 5 hours before our flight, and slept at the airport. I couldn’t sleep at all. And even though I’ve pulled all nighters, this one felt like shit and I was getting really grouchy. But anywho, we made it back and let’s just say I rule at Chinese poker.

Small Setbacks
Only downside of the trip is that I accidentally jumped into the ocean with my cell phone in my swim trunks. I know, very stupid and it happened the first day we were in South Beach! It was late in the afternoon and we went out on the beach to throw around a Frisbee and I didn’t expect to go into the water. I ran into the water to catch the Frisbee and completely forgot I had my cell phone in my pocket. Now I won’t have a cell for 1-2 weeks and it could cost me quite a bit of money to fix/replace it. Tom got sick and got me sick AGAIN, right after I got better from the last time I was sick. Now I’m coughing AGAIN. I will kill Tom.

Now That I’m Back
It’s time to hit the gym hardcore again. I wonder if I gained any weight over Spring break. I must have.. just wondering how much. Anyway in short, it was lots of fun and it sucks that I have to go back to class now.
