Upcoming Spring Break and Other Ponderings
Well, it’s exactly 2 weeks until my friends and I take off for Spring Break. It’s officially set, we will be spending 4 days in South Beach Miami and then 4 days in Daytona Beach. The total cost of the trip was a deal too because my friend Tom hooked us all up with FREE round trip plane tickets! His dad had a lot of frequent flyer miles and was gracious enough to use them for our Spring Break trip. Awesome? YES. I have 3 midterms between now and Spring Break and a few homework assignments. Needless to say I really can’t wait for Spring Break. My fortune cookie tonight said “You will have a pleasant trip.” I hope that’s right!
I’ve been really ramping up my fitness routine. I go to the gym every single day now - I lift weights and I also run or bike for 30 minutes (30 min is the gym limit on the machines). I’ve lost another 2 pounds in the last 2 weeks and I haven’t even been modifying my diet. My diet primarily consists of turkey breast subs, bagels, pizza, chicken wings, french fries, and Chinese takeout. And I’m losing a pound a week. It’s all about caloric intake, as long as you’re expending more than you’re eating, you will start losing weight. I’m very committed to achieving my target goal of 165 lbs.
P.S. Jon Stewart show is tomorrow, should be a great show. Snoop Dogg is performing on Slope Day and last year we had Kanye West. Slope Day is one of the coolest traditions at Cornell. At the end of year we all wild out, drink, and have fun on Libe Slope. Although they’re really cracking down on the drinking, it’s still great fun with the thousands of Cornellians hanging out in one place.
